• Designed a USD 90 blended finance structure for climate adaptation in Southern Africa, including fostering a partnership with a specialised impact fund manager, fundraising and anchoring with a multilateral climate fund;• Conceptualized and developed innovative finance instruments and programmatic partnerships with the private sector and international financial institutions (IFIs) to catalyze and leverage investments in sustainable industrial development in line with the 2030 Agenda and the Paris Agreement;• Created and nurtured partnerships with financial institutions around innovative financing mechanisms.

• Leading role in the design and implementation of flagship initiatives on climate technologies, investment facilitation, innovation acceleration, and start-up and entrepreneurship development, covering 60+ developing countries;• Developed and managed a diverse portfolio of technical assistance interventions in sub-Saharan Africa, South and Southeast Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean, and Eastern Europe;• Raised over USD 50m from bilateral donors (Seco, Sida, NORAD, DFAT, USAID, METI), multilateral funds (Global Environment Facility, Green Climate Fund, SDG Fund), and other actors (Kigali Cooling Efficiency Program);• Led the design and establishment of the Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN) and Private Financing Advisory Network (PFAN);• Managed portfolio of activities in sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, Eastern Europe, South and Southeast Asia;• Recruited and managing a team in-house as well as numerous consultants and contractors in the field;• Established working relationship with investors, financial institutions, technology providers, think tanks, and government institutions;• Created knowledge and published 20+ peer-reviewed scientific articles, manuscripts, and book chapter.

Provided strategic direction to PFAN, which aims at facilitating access to investment to low-carbon, climate resilient projects and companies in frontier markets. Led and mentored the team managing the programme, contributed to business development, established linkages with financing instruments and institutions, introduced investment-ready projects to prospective investors, and provided advice on business models, technology and climate solutions.

Developed bid and won competitive process to host and manage PFAN. Designed and established institutional arrangements, and managed hosting structure. Fundraised from variety of bilateral and multilateral donors, thereby scaling volume of operation over fivefold in 5 years. Recruited and led the team, and managed the Programme, including interaction with the funding partners and governing body.

Served as Member of the Evaluation Board of the Sustainable Energy Innovation Fund (SEIF), an initiative promulgated by WEF in collaboration with KPMG to support and accelerate breakthrough energy innovations with the potential to significantly reduce CO2 emissions. The Board, representing the various stakeholder groups involved, was tasked to support the selection of the Investment Manager and the set-up of the SEIF.

Delivered under various mandates for clients such as multilateral organizations, business associations, non-government organizations, and think tanks.

• Provided substantive input and project management services to the multi-stakeholder Global Energy Assessment, bringing together over 300 world-leading international researchers on energy issues.

• Commissioned combined cycle power plants, with focus on water-steam cycle, steam turbine, balance-of-plant, boiler and ancillary systems;• Appointment to Senior Commissioning Engineer, and assigned as team leader.

• Designed process requirements for automation of large scale gas-fired combined cycle power plants.
