Dama Financial is a $28mm provider of access to financial services and business systems, powering safe and secure solutions for licensed cannabis operators. As the cannabis industry's leading end-to-end solution provider, we offer highly compliant banking as a service, a SAAS seed-to-sale point of sales and ERP solution, with integrated consumer and business payments supported by our world-class customer service.As CEO, my focus was to integrate disparate technology platforms and bring together two very different cultures (banking vs SAAS business units) with over 90 associates, while driving market expansion and growth. With a determined focus on these goals, Dama achieved profitability for the first time since its founding in 2017 and was awarded the national 2023 EMJAYS Bank of the Year award.In late Q1, my Board and I decided the best path forward for the company was strategic acquisition. Resetting goals, I pursued two strategic transactions to sell our banking and SAAS divisions. In Q3 2024, I completed two strategic transactions and asset transitions of Dama’s banking and SAAS business units, delivering shareholder value with no impact to our customer base.

Talus Pay, an Alverez & Marsal (A&M) portfolio company, is a $30mm business with 120 employees operating in the payments technologies marketplace. After merging MSP Consulting with Talus Pay, I remained with Talus Pay through the earnout period and beyond to integrate the MSP platform into the Talus platform, and to manage the Financial Services (FI) partner division of the company. After successful integration of the platforms, I built a sales team of 15 consultants and increased our FI partnerships to over 70 FIs, thus enabling the FI division to contribute to 50% of the company’s revenue growth annually.

I co-founded and operated MSP Consulting, building the award-winning business from a startup, with no investment, to $3.5mm in ARR, with 52% net margin. MSP Consulting is a payments technology company, focused on partnering with Financial Institutions (FIs) and bringing tailored payment solutions to their clients with exceptional client service. At the time my sale of the business to Talus Pay, MSP Consulting had over 50 FI partners, with more than 2,000 clients, and a 97% client retention.
