The Information and Communications Technology Skills programme is a 30 week course currently taking place in the GRETB Centre in Galway. Course content includes information technology skills, computer applications, digital media technology and mathematics. The certification for successful completion of the course is a FETAC Level 4 Major Award in Information and Communications Technology Skills.

As a product builder with Boston Scientific I was involved in the production of cathaters. A cathater is a medical product used in the unblocking of arteries. The position of product builder involved a variety of processes in the assembling of cathaters. Performance levels were measured by output and quality levels. Working on a production line placed a strong emphasis on punctuality and attendance.
