Patrick is a passionate and driven teacher with 5 years teaching experience in the Middle East and 3 years teaching in Ireland and the UK. He is currently teaching Media, ICT, Coding, SEN support and ESL support to students ranging form 1st to 5th year. He has previously taught Physical education to both genders from grade 3-12 and students that require additional support in the Middle East.. While his passion is in teaching and coaching, in 2019 year he promoted, without applying, from P.E. teacher and Sports Coordinator to Head of P.E. Drama, Art, Music and I.T due to his self motivation and ability to adapt, be creative and drive projects forward. During this time he managed the schools social media accounts and taught both staff and students how to film, edit and produce content. He has worked with LSEN students and with students whom English is an additional or secondary language. He was awarded student of the year for Adapted Physical Activity by U.C.C. and The Simon Community for his work developing adapted games that can be used for inclusion for students with support requirments.. He participates in extensive professional development in his field and has utilised educational programs such as Edmodo, Google Teams, One drive, Zoom, Class Dojo, Edupage, M.A.P. He is skilled in various Microsoft programmes and video editing softwares.
