Work with Production, Technical and Sales to minimize amount of material that has to be discarded by finding ways to reuse, or rework as much of the material as possible.• Took over Cost Optimization department and updated process from hard copy to digital, speeding up time to process along with increasing number of work off opportunities achieved by more efficiency in finding opportunities and allowing batches that hadn’t been able to be utilized before were available. • Decreased time for filing monthly reports on financials from 3 days to 1. • Increased amount saved through work off by $360,000 annually. Amount of Discards decreased by $700,000 annually.

Process improvement/ Product improvement. Reviewing First time batch tickets before they go to Production. Tracking problem products/ processes to find solutions. • Worked on scale-up projects for new material introductions. Created FMEA for each product. Total sales projection for products at least $800,000 annually• Worked with Production to improve process efficiency in the Dispersion group and decreased need for pigment additions and remills by over 60% each. A significant savings in materials cost, machine hours and labor.
