LearnCube is a fully fledged online language school that we 'white label' to offline schools. We provide language educators with cutting edge e-learning technology and they use their existing brand and teaching expertise to: • Grow their business to new markets online• Dramatically increase customer lifetime value of 'real life' students.• Reduce cost of customer acquisition. We achieve this through 3 key features.1. Live Virtual Classrooms2. Interactive self-paced courses3. Streamlined admin and CRM systems. I was responsible for marketing and business development.

SwapLingo offers online language education designed to help students get fluent fast. Initially, we are providing our services to students of English in Latin America, where the market is booming. Our focus is on young professionals and university students who require English to excel in their chosencareers. We do this via interactive courses and live conversation classes on demand.*Update* After 6 months working on this product, we pivoted from a B2C model to B2B. The work done on SwapLingo serves as the technological base of LearnCube. The learnings and insights this project yielded us (particularly with regard to the Latin American language market) will serve us very well in the future.

Teamisto.com is a social media platform for amateur sports teams. Through it we provide sports clubs with extra sponsorship revenue opportunities and greater advertising exposure for sponsors through social media. We've received early funding and support from the Lightning Lab business accelerator program in Wellington, a member of TechStars global network. *Update* After promising user growth and interest from angel investors we ultimately decided to move on to other ventures, not confident that we had a scalable business model.

Absolutely fantastic environment to work. During my tenure there was remarkable growth across all our programs (classes, markets, childcare, venue hire). Due to unusually high staff turnover, I was thrust into a variety of roles which helped me gain an extremely wide range of skills. I was a senior staff member by the time I left, and a key cog driving the centre's growth. * Event Management: Co-ordinating two monthly markets and annual Seniors and Youth events. Awarded 'Best Farmer's Market' in the 2011 SMH Good Food Shopping Guide.* Marketing: Increased our online presence and reach significantly for our Classes and Workshops: Helped develop online enrolment system and grow e-newsletter list 5-fold. Resulting in 25% growth in enrolments per term during my tenure. * Venue Hire Manager: Revenue for this program quadrupled. Though I can't claim credit for this, I inherited this responsibility several times on a temporary basis to plug holes in our staffing. * Customer service and system administration* General can-do fix-it man. Particularly IT problem solving.
