I am an assistant professor in the Division of Hospital Medicine within the Department of Medicine, as well as the Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine within the Department of Pediatrics at UNC School of Medicine. I care for adult and pediatric hospitalized patients at UNC Hospitals. Additionally, I serve as Associate Medical Director at UNC Health’s Advanced Care at Home (our Hospital at Home program) and work as a Physician Advisor at UNC Hospitals.I received my MD at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and my MBA at the Fuqua School of Business. I am also the co-founder of MedServe, a non-profit that exposes pre-medical students to primary care careers, and continue to serve the organization as the Board Chair.My interests include adoption of innovative health care delivery models, increasing underrepresented minorities in medicine through pipeline development, and providing medical students with leadership training to adapt to the evolving health care landscape.
