Most children were abused or neglected, Emotionally Disturbed, or had been involved in juvenile criminal activity.As Director, I was responsible for overseeing the recruitment, hiring, training and supervision of 145 professional and para-professional employees; program development and innovation; Public Relations and Fundraising; and maintenance of working relationships with State and County Agencies.

Directed the Residential Living program at the school. Supervised 56 staff providing 24-7 services to young people; Developed and provided extensive staff training and team-building activities. Provided consultation to other schools around the country,

Taught Vocational Training Classes to students and served as staff sponsor of extracurricular activities including class sponsor, and coach for football, basketball and wrestling teams. Drove school buses on trips,Served one year as director of the older boys' residential program - responsible for staff hiring, training and supervision and student discipline.
