This program brought together neighbors to look at their lifestyles and provide encouragement and support to live more sustainably.

Primary facilitator for week-long staff training; managed Sunnyvale Armory shelter which housed between 80 and 180 guests a night; hired and trained 7 member staff; developed shelter policy; facilitated house meetings to involve guests; developed resumé and literacy programs for guests using volunteers.

Publisher of quarterly newsletter, Azadi Kurdistan; organized congressional outreach campaign; wrote grants and conducted other fundraising activities. Maybe if we had done something when the genocide in Kurdistan was actually taking place, we could have avoided the invasion of Iraq!

Organized international nonviolent campaign, called the Genocide Actions, to raise awareness of genocidal forced relocation of traditional Navajos at Big Mountain (Northeast Arizona); organized volunteer work projects to the reservation; conducted various study groups, workshops and educational series' on Big Mountain and other related American Indian.

Researched funding sources, developed and maintained donor databases (foundations,corporations and individuals); provided editorial and writing support for grants, brochures, annualreport and other publications; general office support.

Responsible for fundraising activities of the Center; organized year-long fundraising campaign to buy house for the Center and rebuilt this house with volunteer labor and material donations; organized various nonviolent campaigns, study groups, workshops and educational series'; edited and published monthly newsletter The Peace Times.
