Competed in a hackathon hosted by General Assembly. Our team, Sales Forecasting, came out with the highest score of the hackathon. Cross-functional team conceptualization and development of a product prototype called “Sales Forecasting” to help small restaurants recover from the economic impact of the pandemic. Sales Forecasting is a dashboard which can be integrated into a small restaurant's POS system. Along with a weather and upcoming event widget, managers can see the projected sales for each day of the week - modeled on historic sales and local event data - and efficiently optimize scheduling and ordering, while improving budgets, cutting labor costs, and reducing waste.

General Assembly’s Software Engineering Immersive (SEI) is a 12-week long training program dedicated to giving students a deep dive into the world of software engineering, focusing on web development tools and best practices.

Worked with senior level mechanical engineers (P.E.) to create one line diagrams of chilled water system, hot water system, fire suppression system, and steam and condensate. Involved extensive in-field research of the systems, crawling in the interstitial spaces to verify existing as-build documents. Some of the equipment associated with the systems I worked with included fan coil units, steam sterilizers, and cage washers. Finding the equipment was done to verify flow rates (gallons per minute (and pounds per hour) for the equipment. Worked with maintenance to verify point names for control valves, differential pressure gauges, temperature sensors, and flow meters.
