I have a special interest in the human being as a social and cultural being, and a passion for education and sustainable development. At the moment I use my expertise to guide, primarily, landscape architects when designing playgrounds and other public outdoor environments.Through my education, I am well acquainted with pedagogic, anthropologic, psychological and sociological theory at both micro and macro levels. I am trained in project management, quantitative and qualitative social scientific methodology - particularly interpretative methods such as interviewing, participant observations and discourse analysis. This theoretical and methodological toolbox enables me to examine, analyze and understand human behaviour and phenomenon such as identity, gender, norms, culture, organizations, social learning processes and social strucures. Studies in Human Ecology and Learning for Sustainability have also given me insight into the ecological and social challenges that humanity is facing, and the role of education in meeting them. I find it easy to introduce myself to new areas of knowledge, by critically identifying and acquiring relevant literature and information. Further, I am used to express myself professionally in both speech and writing, and I am confident talking in front of crowds - for example in conjunction with webinars, PowerPoint presentations or other educational contexts.
