As a partner at ReAdvance, I communicate, teach, and advance sustainability for greener science. I believe that sustainability is not just about the environment, but a new approach to make us more efficient, optimize our experiments, and personally fulfilled. There are too many opportunities, innovations and insights that are missed because sustainability is too often misunderstood. I believe it is about protecting our environment through optimizing our work and thereby also improving economical and individual-psychological aspects. Sustainability is a new perspective - a valuable one that has to be unraveled properly.I am working with international research organizations as a science communicator. We as scientists create a lot of value but as long nobody knows about it, it cannot unleash its effect.Through the work with these organizations and societies I also got deeply involved with academic publishing. I realized publishing is the backbone of our research although too few (especially young) scientists appreciate this importance. My reserach background is in molecular medicine (Neuroimmunolgy & Epigenetics), using cutting edge microscopy, advanced flow cytometry and cell culture based approaches. I love research but my edge always came from relentlessly looking for opportunities to streamline processes and communicate my work to the right audience. In essence, there are three things I believe in:Dedication- Reliability - (Re)AdvanceScience has the potential to change the world will we use it?
