I am a personal fitness trainer, wellness and weight loss triathlon coach. These are not just words that describe what I do, they are words that describe what my passion is, and what I love to do ! I am a example of how those words and the people who work in the fitness industry can impact ones life. Some how, some way, by the age of 43 at 5’10”, I weighed over 300 pounds. I had always been an athlete in high school and college and into my early 30's. Slowly I started to gain weight.. By the time was 43, I weighted 300 pounds. I tried everything to lose the weight, nothing helped. Since nothing else had worked, I needed to tap into that competitive spirit I once had. I decided to join a weight loss triathlon group. knowing it wouldn't be easy, I had two goal in mind, one was to take it 1 workout at a time and the other — complete a sprint distance triathlon. Subsequently I ended up doing 3 triathlons in that first year. Over the next 2 1/2 years I dropped 70 lbs and my self-esteem shot up. Doctors say this lifestyle change was the reason I survived an otherwise rare and fatal structural heart defect an Aortic aneurism In 2008.Those life changing events, not only changed the course of my professional life, but how I viewed life and my place in it...It was the catalyst that prompted me to become a certified fitness professional and a coach for health and wellness triathlon program. That very program that changed and saved my life. I have since gone on to help hundreds of people achieve health, wellness and athletic goals.. Having been someone who has been on both sides of the health spectrum, I know what its like to tackle and achieve goals necessary to enhance ones life. I am in the trenches throughout that journey, whatever fitness goal that may be. Now I am proudly one of those fitness professionals who can impact someone else's life and and these aren't just words to describe what I do, they are words to describe what I've done, and why I can make a difference !
