Quality Engineering Technician
In a nutshell, this role was primarily responsible for ensuring product conformity to customer specifications. This includes management of the calibration system, completing inspection reports such as PPAPs and First Article Inspections, participating in Layered Process Audits and internal ISO 9001:2015 audits, as well as researching internal and external non-conformances including root cause analysis and corrective actions. I led a daily huddle with plant team leaders (MRB) to review recently identified Quality issues and provide support to production operators. Also responsible for supporting production and inspection departments.

Sole Direct Material Buyer for one of three Monroe facility product lines. Responsible for all aspects of procurement of materials including RFP process, cost analysis, budgeting, supplier negotiations, problem resolution (shipping, invoicing, packaging), etc. Also worked with suppliers in shortage situations to create and implement recovery plans including onsite support. This position allowed me to gain knowledge about materials and production methods.
Recruiter
Recruiter for a tier 1 automobile component supplier. Performed activities in all aspects of recruiting – generating online job postings, print advertisements, job fairs (organizing & attending), employee referral programs, interviewing including Behavioral Event Interviewing, job offers and reviewing pre-employment background reports. Flow Team Member
What started as a seasonal opportunity to stay busy while I searched for career opportunities became a regular part-time job. At Target, I tackled the role of flow team member, cashier, cart attendant and continue to learn other tasks within the store.
Branch Manager
As Branch Manager at Express, I was responsible for management of a new staffing service office including supervision of a Staffing Consultant, Front Office Coordinator and occasional contract Recruiter. This also included setting office goals, conducting meetings to communicate objectives to staff and training of staff in recruiting, staffing and employment. The Branch Manager position is a "working manager" job and I was performing activities in all aspects of employment – heavy recruiting, interviewing, new hire documentation and orientation, employment eligibility verification, payroll processing, accident investigation, incident documentation, employee counseling, terminations and unemployment. Staffing is sales, so developing partnerships with clients by locating and placing qualified individuals that satisfy their staffing requirements was also part of the job. This required frequent communication and quality checks to evaluate effectiveness of the temporary associates. I also created and distributed numerous reports to ownership and clients.
Human Resources Manager
As the HR Manager, I supervised a Recruiter and Payroll & Benefits Representative to provide human resources functions to a privately-owned hospitality business with four properties.
Sr. Staffing Manager
At Randstad, we worked with both clients and jobseekers in various industries to identify employment needs and priorities and provide solutions through appropriate matching of employees to temporary, temp-to-hire, and direct hire positions. When you employ people, you have to conduct activities in all aspects of employment – recruiting, interviewing, new hire documentation, employment eligibility verification, payroll processing, employee counseling and terminations, accident and incident investigations, as well as unemployment. A large component of this career is to promote utilization of staffing by creating, building and managing relationships with existing and prospective customers through visits, cold calling, and networking.
Employment Marketing Representative
My role at the Department of Labor was to promote usage of the services and resources available from the Georgia Department of Labor. I created and delivered presentations highlighting services available to business, community, and youth groups. I also organized, set-up, and participated in community job and resource fairs. I partnered with the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice create a program for youth offenders. We also solicited job listings from employers to provide opportunities for Department of Labor customers. I composed job postings from information gathered from employers for posting on the Intranet (internal network), Georgia Department of Labor web site, and America’s Job Bank. I provided labor market information requested by businesses and other community groups as well.
Store Manager
From my start as a part-time customer service associate, I worked my way up to Store Manager. As a manager, I recruited, trained, and managed a music store staff with a focus on customer service in a 4,100 square foot mall retail outlet and 3,000 square foot free-standing retail outlet. I ordered, received, and returned merchandise and supplies through computerized inventory system. It is important in retail to have a beautifull store, so I also positioned sales and promotional materials as well as merchandised product to maximize shopping convenience and increase revenue. At both locations, I created and maintained filing system that included employee files, financial reports, and store information. In the Jacksonville location, I guided the staff to produce a 20.1% increase in first three fiscal quarters of 1999 and reduce store shrinkage (internal and external) from a phenomenal 12% to just over 2%. Unfortunately, this did involve turning over almost 100% of the existing staff and bringing in new team members. Our Athens store staff earned the district Customer Service Award in 1997 for maintaining the highest yearly average for mystery customer shops.
