In the summer of 2017, I completed the Secondary II AMS Montessori Certification. I began in the summer of 2016 when the longtime Senior Thesis teacher left the school. I am responsible for developing curriculum in English and Senior Thesis, a year-long self-construction course that culminates in a student thesis and oral defense. I teach both freshman and sophomore level English courses, as well as various art related electives.

I instruct adult learners seeking certification in the AMS Montessori Secondary program, focusing specifically on the middle-school curriculum (language arts, history, and health/self-construction).

I am currently one of three teachers in a Montessori private middle school in the Spring Branch area of Houston. I teach all subjects. I recently completed all the requirements for Secondary I Montessori certification and I am pending for Texas state certification as a Generalist 4-8.

From April 1995 to 1998, I worked as an assistant manager at the bookstore, and was subsequently hired to manage the store from 1998 on. I was responsible for a large budget and acted as the store buyer, eventually working to visit the Frankfurt International Book Fair each year from 2001-2007. I gained experience in shipping, book buying, negotiating discounts, book returns, managing employees, and serving an international customer base.
