Patrick Power serves as Aerogen’s Vice President of Research & Development as well as Vice President of Corporate Strategy & Business Development. Patrick also serves as General Manager for Aerogen’s specialty pharmaceutical division, Aerogen Pharma. He has two decades of medical device experience across both technical and business functions.Patrick leads the R&D department in their efforts to defend and extend Aerogen’s product portfolio, supporting AerogenPharma, and in increasing Aerogen’s technology leadership. Within BD, Patrick is focused primarily on identifying and evaluating strategic opportunities, both internally driven and through external acquisition. These synergistic duties require a broad skill set of legal and financial acumen with strong technical proficiency.Patrick holds a Master of Biomedical Science from NUI Galway, a Master of Business Practice from the Irish Management Institute (IMI), and Master of Business from UCD Smurfit. Patrick is a published Aerosol Scientist as well as a multiple patent holder; including in the areas of aerosol (Aerogen Ultra), surgery (AeroSurgical) and humidification.
