PACIFIC HSE LEADER ResponsibilitiesDevelop plan and prioritise the deployment of the Pacific HSE Management system across the region. Develop and deploy communication strategy for safety observations and improve HSE culture within the business. Periodically review results of unsafe conditions, behaviour and incident data and take appropriate action to drive improved levels of safety. FLETCHER DISTRIBUTION – NEW ZEALANDManage all aspects of HSE for Fletcher distribution in New Zealand. Includeding review of existing HSE framework.Strategy development and Injury Management.

ResponsibilitiesAssisting the HSSE director by providing leadership and direction and driving the HSSE strategy and driving the culture forward. Provide advice and support to the retail business on all aspects relating to health, safety and security related matters, and to take direct ownership for implementation of elements of the HSSE strategy and plan for the market.• A 75% reduction nationally and specifically an 85% reduction in NSW in the rate of armed hold-ups. This was a direct result of implementing changes to operations and upgrading security at retail sites • As a Master Root Cause Specialist, led numerous investigations in particular I led an investigation into the most expensive retail underground tank leak (Globally) for BP. Now considered the CoE (centre of expertise) in wet-stock reconciliation. Instrumental in developing the measures to maximize the potential of early detection of leaking fuel systems. Developed the training material and ran a course to train BP’s trainers to roll-out new wet stock reconciliation system• Discovered a credit card fraud issue in retail which had cost BP over $100K, introduced measures to prevent a reoccurrence. Coordinated a “sting” operation with the NSW police which resulted in the arrest and prosecution of three offenders.

Commercial EngineerResponsibilitiesAll aspects concerning HSE for all commercial projects and operations in NSW. Managing the existing company owned infrastructure in compliance with group standards. Provide advice and support to the commercial business on all aspects of Health and safety, facility management, engineering and project management. • Completing and overseeing project safety reviews, permit to work and JSA/JTA for all works.• Designing and Project Managing the installation of 15 fuel facilities (project size from $60k-$880k) over a four year period without a single incident or LTI• Overseeing the removal and remediation of Underground storage tanks at 65 Commercial sites (135 tanks in total) involving major earth works, transportation and scrapping of “hot” tanks, all completed incident free, with no LTI’s• Project Managed the decommissioning and the demolition of 9 large commercial fuel storage facilities (Mine sites) all incident free, with no LTI’s

Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the business.  During tenure as GM the turnover of the business grew by 83% Estimating, tendering and overseeing the Project manager during the construction of the new aviation refuelling facility at Wagga Airport for MOBIL OIL. This involved major input to the design and manufacture of Aviation skids at our workshop, and included all building and installation works associated with the site (Mechanical and Civil) Project completed March 2000. Value $980,000 Estimating, tendering and liaising with the management of Sydney Ferries and the NSW Government, during the upgrading of the re-fuelling system at Balmain Wharf for Sydney ferries An OLYMPIC 2000 project. Value $350,000. Project included removal of existing fuel wharf lines and installation of new system Estimating, tendering and liaising with the management of Sydney Ferries, Lend Lease and NSW Government during the tank installation and fuel installation at Manly Wharf for Sydney Ferries. An OLYMPIC 2000 Project. Value $275,000 Estimating, tendering and coordinating the project of installing the fuel facility at the Sydney 2000 Olympic site, Homebush bay for refuelling the buses within the athlete’s village. The works include the complete installation of the fuel facility, pre games and the removal and decommissioning of the facility, post games. Value $250,000 All projects completed without a single lost time injury
