In command of 228 United States Marines, thirteen MV-22 Osprey aircraft valued at over one billion dollars, and operating a 62 million dollar hangar facility.Provide combat air support for troops and supplies to ground forces commanders in order to win battles and defend our country.Responsible for the combat readiness and professional development of 228 Marines in the command.Responsible for training the squadron in order to meet all operational commitments.Manage risk in the squadron in order to accomplish all assigned tasks while preserving the force and maintaining material readiness.Responsible for mentoring squadron officers with respect to leadership, professional development and Marine Corps PME.Maintain the highest standards for technical and tactical proficiency as a MV-22 tiltrotor pilot.Planned, coordinated, and executed the squadron relocation from MCAS Miramar to MCAS Kaneohe Bay.Introduced MV-22 Osprey aviation operations to Hawaii by coordinating with various military services and agencies in an effort to utilize available training areas for squadron flight training.Deployed four MV-22 Ospreys to over 5,300 miles to Marine Rotational Force Darwin Australia by self-deploying the aircraft with KC-130 tankers for inflight refueling. The trans-Pacific flight is the longest blue water flight by the MV-22 Osprey.
