Currently enrolled at the University of Iowa, I have my State of Iowa Seal of Biliteracy for Spanish and English. I am studying to be a naval historian and I am currently enrolled for a bachelors degree in history, bachelors degree in Spanish, and certificate in museum studies. I have worked at the National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium in Dubuque, Iowa, for over three years and have experience with natural history, history of the United States and North America, archival research and cataloguing, and working on the museum dredge boat William M. Black. My true skills rest with Spanish translation and interpretation/education in history. I have taken several different AP and college courses in Spanish and have had my seal of Biliteracy in the language since 2022. I have been studying history since my work began at the National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium with a particular focus on the history of the United States in the twentieth century. The politics revolving around the World Wars and naval development of the time are my greatest strengths in this area. I have been studying the finer points of early twentieth century naval history/warfare since 2023 and specialize in naval warfare of the Second World War and the political implications of the time on naval development. I have studied the development of dreadnoughts in the U.S. Navy from before the First World War up to the end of the twentieth century and their global counterparts, particularly those of France, Italy, Germany, and Japan.
