EIT Health was established to tackle the EU’s health, demographic change and well-being societal challenges based on the principle that when experts from business, research and education work together as one, an optimal environment for innovation is created.

Enable’s vision is to create an academia-industry collaborative research programme that draws on the expertise, knowledge, and technology of three world-leading SFI Research Centre's, the CONNECT Centre for Future Networks, the Insight Centre for Data Analytics and Lero the Software Research Centre. The goal has been to work with our industry partners and via citizen engagement to address the challenges that currently limit the potential benefits of the Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) for communities, towards enabling smarter buildings, more efficient transportation/mobility, better handling of environmental issues, better decision support, and enhanced cyber and infrastructure security and data privacy.

CONFIRM aims to transform Ireland’s manufacturing industry to become a world-leader in smart manufacturing.
