I synthesize the model data, which includes deflections and interface loads, into reports submitted to the applicable governing body. After modeling the structures, I design and write test plans to static test full-scale models of the production units to test them for compliance with FAA interior structures regulations. I conduct aforementioned static tests with witnessing Engineering Unit Members. In this role I have learned about aircraft primary structures, interior structures, how to design static tests, model/analyze composite structures, provide successful, minimal-cost, engineering design recommendations to the design team, and I have formed a specialty for Boeing 777-200, -300, and -9 interior interfaces.
