IPEG is a privately held manufacturing and back-office shared services company for two brands that produce equipment for the plastics processing industry. My primary responsibility was the global finance function, including locations in China, Taiwan, Singapore, Mexico, Sweden and India. I reenergized the finance team with development of the Finance Mission, Vision and Pillars (Values) and related finance strategic initiatives and assisted in the development of a three year strategic plan for the business. I also led the Human Resources function, including establishing a company wellness program. Infinia is a venture-backed start-up using its unique free piston Stirling generator to commercialize the PowerDish, among the most efficient solar generators available today. As a member of the senior executive team, I helped transform Infinia from a long-term research and development organization into a global commercial enterprise. We raised over $180 million from venture, hedge fund and strategic investors to develop and launch the PowerDish. Significant achievements and experience as Chief Financial Officer included:- Performed a fast-moving evaluation of the business plan and participated with the CEO and Board in the difficult decision to restructure the business to reduce headcount by over 50% and cash burn rate by $2.5 million to allow the company’s pursuit of industrial and economic credibility to continue in the face of a very aggressive solar market- Organized and started executing capital raising strategy- Reestablished financial forecasting and related processes for financial accountability

Led highly technical group of over 60 engineers and technicians, both hardware and software focused, in developing the Infinia PowerDish. Significant achievements and experience included:- Reorganized the product development function, including establishment of an electronics, controls and software team and a product reliability and testing team, and implemented disciplined risk assessment and product development processes - Transformed underperforming team with low morale into a motivated team achieving product development milestones significantly reducing design cycle time on key product components - Assisted in building relationships and associated commercial agreements with strategic partners in U.S, India, China and Europe, including a key manufacturing supplier (large global automotive supplier) for the free piston Stirling generator- Facilitated the company obtaining project financing for the PowerDish with U.S. export/import (US EXIM) bank including execution of successful engagements with two large independent engineering service providers- Implemented issues tracking software (Jira) and a product lifecycle management software application (Product Center by Softech) to enhance productivity and accountability- Participated in capital raising activities as primary product development interface
