As a naval architect first, my career focus is to lead great engineers in the maritime domain, with focus on safety of personnel and property, and the protection of the environment. Today, my passion is innovation surrounding digital engineering technologies - CAE, CAD, and digital twin - and delivering those technologies to the naval architecture profession through my role at the American Bureau of Shipping. I’m often associated with my role developing Augmented Reality technology at Newport News Shipbuilding - and through this, advancing the science of design communication to the shipbuilder, sailor, and industry at large.
