After a distinguished 20-year career in the United States Air Force, I retired with expertise in maintaining and overhauling various aircraft and propulsion systems. Throughout my tenure, I dedicated significant time to the maintenance and overhaul of MC-130H/P, AC-130H/U/J Aircraft, T-56 engines, and 54H60 propellers at Hurlburt Field, FL. Notably, I spent 8 years on the flight line ensuring the operational readiness of a fleet of 15 MC-130H Combat Talon 2 aircraft and 3 years as a Quality Assurance Inspector, overseeing Hurlburt Field’s Aircraft Weight and Balance Program. Additionally, I led a team of 75 members at the Air Force’s Propulsion Centralized Repair Facility, and then served as a Production Superintendent, optimizing maintenance operations for 4 flying squadrons and over 1,200 personnel from 23 work centers. Throughout my career, I attained proficiency in all aircraft systems, obtained an Airframe and Powerplant License, and an FCC GROL License with Radar endorsement. My specialization lies in building, troubleshooting, and tearing down T-56 engines, 54H60 propellers, and maintaining various Air Force Special Operations aircraft, both domestically and in challenging deployed environments. I also led and managed the DOD's only T-56 hush house test cells and oversaw the installation of the first NOVAC fire suppression system in a hush house.Post-retirement, I transitioned seamlessly into civilian roles, overseeing the Singaporean ACMI POD program at Mountain Home AFB and serving as Avionics Lead and Lead Mechanic for the MH-139 helicopter program at Duke AFB, FL. Currently, I am committed to ensuring optimal mission readiness for a fleet of MQ-9s across multiple OCONUS locations.
