Duties included Materials coordination, PO management, requisitioning, warehouse yards operation, and performed field engineering duties. Oversaw the completion and commissioning of the work with the clients representatives.

Redding/Sacramento, California

Obtain permits, interfaced with private land owners, timber companies, local, State and Federal Agencies to acquire permits and facilitate the construction of 230 Miles of new roads and 148 miles of 500Kv Transmission line from Oregon to California. Worked with the engineering & construction management company overseeing the contractors work. oversaw construction of 32 microwave sites, 64 acre sub-station and capacitor stations along the 350 mile power line route.

Massachusetts & Livingston Manor, New York

Environmental Manager for the New England Power Authority during construction of the 345Kv Power Line. Interfaced with the Local, State and Federal Agencies to assure the construction contractors work to insure compliance with the environment orders and conditions. Senior Construction Inspector for the New York Power Authority during the construction of the Marcy South 345Kv Power Line through the Catskill Mountains. Oversaw the road building and maintenance. Worked closely with the Contractors and New York State officials.

Mullan Idaho And Colville Washington

Bonneville Power Administration , oversaw timber falling, road building, cable logging, helicopter logging, and project restoration. Managed the safety program for the civil works on the project. Mullan, ID.Construction of the Bonneville Power Administration Integration Project Schedule II Addy-Box Canyon Section. Oversaw civil work, surveying, clearing, road building, road improvements, slash, burning, land owner facilites, and project restoration.

Montana And Alaska

Project Manager/Superintendent - Montana -R/W clearing operations on the Bonneville Power Administration, 500KV Garrison-Taft Lines No1 and 2, Sch. 1, Tepa Jalisco Corp. subcontracted with Commonwealth Electric Company, 44 miles of clearing. Coordinated Mobilization from Oregon, set up; field office, project controls, scheduling, and reporting. Cleared the Right of Way, marketed timber, staffed the project, leased equipment and scheduled daily operations to remain ahead of contractors work. Project Manager/Superintendent clearing operations on the Alaska Power Authority, Anchorage to Fairbanks 345KV Intertie line for 97 miles. Subcontract with Irby/Northface construction for 96 miles of clearing. Mobilization from Oregon to Alaska, schedule to stay ahead of Prime contractor, logistics of helicopter project staffing 78 people, setup; project controls, Safety programs, QA programs. Project completed ahead of schedule and under budget.

Wrangell, Alaska

Quality Control Inspector for 81 miles of 138KV line for the Alaska Power Authority, from Tyee Lake to Wrangel-Petersburg, Alaska. Duties included: Assuring safety limits for R/W clearing stop points, identifying danger trees for removal, overseeing helicopter logging, environmentally sensitive fish streams, and interfacing with the US Forestry Services, State Agencies, and Contractor personnel.

Oregon And Washington

Quality Control Inspector for 100 miles of 500KV power line construction, from Malin Oregon to Silver lake Oregon. Oversaw and inspected the footing construction including drilled holes, rebar, and con-crete placement for the circular 6’ diameter by 20’ deep caissons for the 100’ to 200’ tall lattice steel towers structures along the 100 mile cross country route. Duties also included the oversight of all timber falling, road building and logging actives, wire installations, splicing, and final restoration. Worked with the US forest Service, BLM, Bureau of Reclamation, State of Oregon and private land owners.General Forman for the PP&L 500KV project from Medford OR to Malin OR. for CRAFCO 1979. Oversaw all timber harvesting activities along the 120 miles of power line ROW. Duties included, Clearing, Helicopter Logging, Cat Logging and Yarder Logging, Road Building, Slash Disposal, Cleanup, and Restoration Activities. Coordination with Private Land Owners, State Agencies, and Federal Agencies to ensure compliance with permit stipulations and a harmonious out come before, during and after our project activities were completed.
