I have implemented consistent practices in cleaning services at the GWV & GSWB campuses, reduced total turn times for cases by utilizing LEAN principles in task assignments across three shifts. Streamlined current cleaning and documentation practices for surgical, pre and post-operative areas, as well as initiated cross-training measures for all staff to be competent, is a terminal cleaning practice. Absorbed the PACU, surgery waiting room, and CSR locations and FTE’s associated with them and implemented cross-training of staff in all new areas, as well as the OR proper.
