I participated in meetings with clients, contributed to team discussions during project kick-offs and reviewed background materials shared by clients in preparation for different project missions.I developed research tool-kits in collaboration with the project team for field research. I trained, deployed and supervised several data enumerators in different focus regions for studies on target crops using mobile devices.I performed statistical and financial analysis of data collected and composed final research reports in collaboration with the project team and made presentations on the major findings to clients.

Ghana And Nigeria

Evaluation of the Project Green Economy in Biosphere Reserves (GEBR): A means to biodiversity conservation, poverty reduction and sustainable development in sub-Saharan Africa (Ghana, Nigeria and Tanzania), UNESCO (Division of Ecological and Earth Sciences).We prepared inception report, information note and composed final evaluation report with our findings. We conducted the fieldworks in Ghana and Nigeria with site visits to two forest reserves and meeting with relevant stakeholders including the project implementers, beneficiaries and funding partners.

Farmerline is a for-profit Ghanaian company that builds technologies to connect rural customers to information, financial tools, and supply chains. Over the years, Farmerline has built a profitable social business, software technology, and partnership network reaching over 200,000 farmers across 5 countries - https://farmerline.co/I led a needs assessment research and collaborated with external partners, design experts and software engineers to design, develop and pilot a loan product that is mobile-based, making agro-loans available to cocoa farmers in several communities. In line with this feat, I co-led and managed the development of a community agent network for efficient distribution of farming inputs to smallholders in many rural communities. With a focus as well on youth in agriculture, I conducted a needs assessment research that led to the development of a mobile app that provides critical information to improve knowledge and productivity of young farmers.I set up a monitoring and evaluation system and used learning and lessons from project monitoring, field visits, and evaluations to inform company strategy, develop new products and improved our mobile-based services.I joined Farmerline at a period when the in-house built data collection platform was faced with a challenge of creating data exports into different statistical programs. Using my knowledge in applied statistics and experience with data, I worked with our software engineers to implement data export features that allowed the companys’ mobile data collection system to create data exports for different statistical software programmes.To showcase our work, I had the opportunity to make presentations on ICT innovations in agriculture at conference events in Wageningen (The Netherlands), Brussels Rural Development Briefings(Belgium) and at the Global Forum for Innovations in Agriculture in Durban (South Africa).

As a co-facilitator and expert, we delivered training to participants from research, peace building, governance and development institutions selected from the West-African sub-region, at the Kofi-Annan International Peacekeeping and Training Center (KAIPTC) in Accra. Project: CORAF/WECARD Up-scaling the Nigerian Flash Drying Experience for Sustainable Regional Trade and Income Generation in West Africa (UDESWA). Responsible for analysing data on a scoping study to identify the constraints to food drying systems and profitable investment options in Ghana

Project: Evaluation of Cocoa Livelihood Programme (Western, Ashanti and Eastern Region). Responsible for training agricultural extension agents on GPS farm mapping and conducted interviews with cocoa farmers in 3 regions in Ghana
