Greetings. I am Patrick Saucier, a seasoned educator, experienced linguist, and skilled sociologist. Born in Ft. Wayne, Indiana on July 25, 1959, I have since traveled extensively across the United States and lived abroad in Germany, absorbing diverse cultures and perspectives that have enriched my academic and professional pursuits.My journey encompasses a broad spectrum of experiences, from serving in the U.S. Army as a trained Czech linguist to working in various technical and social fields. I hold a Baccalaureate in Behavioral and Social Sciences from the University of Maryland, a Master of Science in Sociology from Georgia Southern University, and I am currently ABD in Sociology from the University of South Carolina.I am presently a Senior Sociology Instructor at the University of South Carolina's Palmetto College Campuses, where I have been part of a pioneering effort to utilize modern communication technology to deliver university classes statewide. My primary focus is teaching non-traditional students online and developing comprehensive sociology courses that present a multi-faceted view of our society.Throughout my career, my dedication to inquiry and analysis has driven me to explore various sectors and roles, from electronic engineering to case management, providing me with a holistic understanding of social dynamics.
