Hey! I'm Patrick. I'm a creative & surrounded by creatives & non-creatives alike looking to make things & change things for the better. Currently i'm steering steering Hackney Wick & Fish Island Community Development Trust, where my focus is on preserving cultural heritage through strategic leadership and fostering spaces that support a circular economy. Our collaborative efforts are crucial in nurturing sustainable cultural ecosystems, where I apply over a decade of industry experience to drive community engagement and economic development.Every week I Host How Might We. A podcast where we design solutions to solve pressing challenges facing our creative world today. The creative economy is one of the fastest growing sectors in the world, our thinking needs to grow just as fast. Since my teenage years, I have been deeply involved in the music industry, with previous experience working for Mike Skinner Ltd and developing the TONGA club night brand. Alongside releasing acclaimed records with Star Slinger under the "SCALLY" name, I also founded the band HALFBROTHER with Murkage Dave. I've produced records with various artists including Murkage Dave's debut single 'Car Bomb' which received plays from Pharrell Williams on his Beats1 show as well as love from cult publications Vice, RWD Mag & The Independent.I have acquired years of experience in the creative workspace sector in the London ecosystem. Project managing the delivery of sites & working with teams to deliver deep value for creative businesses who call the buildings home. I've also gained experience in the public sector working on the Creative Enterprise Zone in Hackney Wick & Fish Island for Hackney and Tower Hamlets Council. This was a placed based economic development programme aimed at supporting & helping East London thrive as a creative powerhouse.

Video EditorAj&Smart Gmbh Nov 2017 - Sep 2018Berlin Area, GermanyI was a video editor in the media department of this creative design agency in Berlin. During my time here, I have further developed my ability to work at a high rate whilst maintaining very high standards. Having previously worked on video production in the music industry, this more comedic and informative style has been a wonderful addition to my range. Pushing the companies video quality, whilst still maintaining high output is my most valued trait for the company. The largest project undertaken so far has been the lead editor position for a 60+ video masterclass, which is sold to consumers who wanted to learn the ‘Design Sprint’ methodology championed by the company. -
Community & Project ManagerRunway East Dec 2016 - Nov 2017London, United KingdomContinuing my interest in building community and developing workspace, I recently held the position of Community and Project Manager for Runway East. During my time I worked towards the delivery of three floors at Runway East Shoreditch which catered to a thousand start-up professionals. I also designed and developed a cafe and bar space used by the community members and internal events team. Outside of these large-scale projects, my main tasks centered around on-boarding new teams, keeping up-to-date with their contracts and monthly invoicing, conducting walk-in tours, dealing with tech or maintenance issues, connecting members in our building and helping the overall growth of this large tech start-up community. -

Community & Social Media ManagerEat Work Art Nov 2014 - Dec 2015London, United KingdomWhilst working here I looked after the marketing of creative communities Hackney Downs Studios, Netil House and Old Paradise Yard. I oversaw the entire marketing push of 40 new studios built in Hackney Downs in late 2014. This included offline promotion such as billboards, as well as online in the form of social, newsletters and listing websites. Whilst working at the company, I have also created and promoted events across all of our event spaces such as Netil360, The Russet, Platform Bar, Netil Market and The Village Green. -
Online Community ManagerBrand Gathering Aug 2013 - Sep 2014London, United KingdomMy first experience working in this field of community & social media management was for SaaS start-up Brand Gathering. Brand Gathering’s mission was to provide a platform for savvy start-up brands to collaborate on marketing campaigns via their purpose-built platform. Alongside this, the in-house developed software was licensed to multiple government-backed initiatives, which I, in turn, managed on a day-to-day basis. As well as this I have organised key events to grow the movement, created advertising campaigns, covered all current press relations & marketing strategies. -
Social Media & Press RelationsNot-Another-Bill Mar 2013 - Aug 2013London, United KingdomWhile at Not Another Bill I managed all social media channels for the brand. From running competitions upon Facebook, Twitter & Instagram to grow our presence online as well as constantly engaging with our customer base. Press relations for the company was my main undertaking. While at Not Another Bill I got us in key national, and international press, which helped drive sales and brand exposure in a major way. Coverage in publications such as Stylist, Emerald Street, In Style, Elle Decor, Guardian online, Vanity Fair, Your Home, Good Housekeeping, L’Officel Hommes Italia, Brides, Women & Home and many more key niche titles drove sales tremendously during my time there.During my time at the company I began to develop a company magazine (free sheet) that we would use in order to expand the NOTANOTHER... brand into key sectors untouched until that point. I covered all responsibilities for the magazine: from developing a base of contributors – who would write and produce exclusive visual content for us – sourcing a viable printer for our magazine, and finally putting the groundwork down on the initial design within Adobe In-Design. Due to 'surprise present in the post' being our company message, liaising and sourcing new and exciting artists was also a job that the whole team had involvement in. A constant daily search for the best and brightest emerging artists was as much a part of the job as any other.
