Freelance technician / Product development

Co founded start up venture with Jackie Laws installing, dial welt retrofit attachments, on site for 300+ customers worldwide (14 US states, 2 Canadian provinces, Ireland, Brazil and Venezuela). Transitioned business to rebuilding Mark III pantyhose equipment, into Amy type, sock production machines. Oversaw the business expansion from a 2 person partnership to a 16 employee machine building operation with $2.2 million in annual sales. Responsible for machine style setup on customer supplied specs and in factory startup and technical training worldwide. Established a parts supply and customer service departments. Designed a variable speed drive system utilizing Mitsubishi inverter for our product and retrofitting existing Amy machines. Designed custom yarn creels for our machines and many types of textile machines (Sock,sheer, glove, and winding) for customers that did not have floor space or ceiling height for standard Merlin type yarn creels. Established an in house machine shop to make custom parts for many applications.
