I separated from the Navy as an Electrician's Mate (Nuclear) Third Class in November 2021. Since then, I have been working as a Mechanic II at Carlisle Construction Materials (CCM). I possess vast troubleshooting skills such as problem identification, symptom recognition, and trend analysis. I have assisted in the upkeep, repair, and replacement of over 500 electrical components on board submarines. Additionally, I have trained in the distributon of electrical power. Currently looking for a career path to pursue when I separate. Prefer to stay in the electrical repair or distribution fields, but open to any type of eletrical/electronic work.During my time with CCM, I have learned new skills in machining and fabrication, as well as developing more knowledge with mechanical systems such as pneumatics, hydraulics, steam, and waste water management. Additionally, I have translated my troubleshooting and repair abilities to mechanical systems, allowing for more diversity as a maintenance technician. I have gained experience with forklifts, scissor lifts, confined space management, hot work management, and hazardous waste handling. I am currently looking to move away from the mechanical field, as I am more comfortable with electrical/electronic work, but all options are considered. I would like to stay somewhat local for now, with aspirations of moving to Connecticut or other potential New England locations.
