Building a phenomenal team of communicators charged with informing multiple audiences of how the Army is defending America’s tomorrows today through the establishment of U.S. Army Futures Command.

Lead communications team member for a select task force exploring the need for a new command to streamline and move an industrial-age acquisition to fielding model to meet present-day demands.

Facilitates efforts to "Tell the Army Story" to the public via the media. Supervises three specific Army focus areas: Personnel, Weapons-Equipment-Training, and Operations-Intelligence-Logistics. Routinely interfaces with major U.S. and international journalists (including TV, print, and electronic/social media), particularly those based in the Pentagon. Facilitates global Army media engagements as needed. Performs other duties as directed.

Facilitates U.S. Army efforts to connect to the public through community releations and public outreach events. Portfolio includes managing the Army Medal of Honor recipient program, Military and Veteran Support Organization relationships, facilitating support for displays and fly-overs, among other community outreach events. Supervises three regional offices (Los Angeles--Movie/TV, Chicago--Midwest and sports, and New York--books and national TV networks). Performs other duties as directed.

Public Affairs advisor to the Commander of the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF)/Resolute Support Missions and United States Forces serving in Afghanistan. Key events which occured during this timeframe included supporting the commander through the transition from the ISAF combat mission to the Resolute Support train-advise-assist mission. This included engagements with such outlets as CBS 60 Minutes, ABC "This Week", and Al Jazeera "Talk to Al Jazeera". Duties also included management of the commander's social media page and other external audience communication as required. Assignment also required close coordination with the Legislative Affairs team to ensure unity of effort on covering multiple topics prior to testimony or Congressional visits. Worked routinely with NATO HQ, OSD, CENTCOM and the U.S. Embassy on interagency communication efforts related to operations in Afghanistan.

Serve as the Public Affairs Advisor to the 34th Army Vice Chief of Staff, General John F. Campbell.

Student at the United States Army War College, a one-year program which prepares select officers for continued service at the operational and strategic level.

Public Affairs Officer on the Joint Staff. Served as the Public Affairs advisor to the J-5 (Plans and Policy) Director for 6 months and later served in the same capacity to the Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (ADM Sandy Winnefeld).

Public Affairs Officer for arguably the Army's most famed division. Spent a year at Fort Campbell in partnership with the Garrison PAO in supporting the command public information efforts. Served as then Major General (now General) John F. Campbell's PAO---conducted numerous outreach events in the Fort Campbell area, Washington DC and Chicago. Deployed with the Division to Regional Command-East Afghanistan, led public information efforts for a 30,000 combined-joint task force for one year. Conducted more than 100 media engagements, supported an embedded media program, and supported numerous engagement/outreach events for LTG Campbell. Truly a phenomenal experience!
