𝗘𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿After graduating college, I interned as a microloan officer in Kenya. This position had a long-lasting impact on my career trajectory: it showed me how entrepreneurship could impact the local economy, introduced me to the complexities in the world, and stoked my passion to work globally.I followed my interest in development to the Program Management Office at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business. There, I discovered my ability to build relationships across any aisle, successfully delivering business training programs to global executives in both Washington, DC and across six continents. A highlight from this role was building close relationships with the incredible professors at the McDonough School of Business. 𝗨.𝗦. 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 I followed my interest in global affairs to the role of Foreign Affairs Officer at the U.S. Department of State. A highlight from this role was spearheading the committee that reviewed thousands of applications to select the entrepreneurs, representing over 130 countries, invited to attend the 2017 Global Entrepreneurship Summit. This role challenged me to build relationships within a complex bureaucracy to deliver excellent public diplomacy programs to foreign audiences.𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮I left the State Department to become the Director of Stewardship at The University of Florida. UF is a 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘤𝘦 in the state of Florida. In my new role as Director of Disbursements and Fund Utilization, I work with partners across the university to ensure that donor money is spent properly and effectively. I recently collaborated with a donor to change the purpose of an underutilized scholarship fund to help students with online accessibility issues in the COVID-19 environment.
