Hello, I'm Dr. Patrick Sellars, a dedicated and versatile professional with a diverse background that has shaped my career journey. I began working early on at Sellars Construction Company, a family-owned business, where I not only developed a keen attention to detail and craftsmanship but also gained the importance of hard work. My experiences there laid the foundation for my career. Later, I joined Tindall Concrete, where I continued to thrive in a demanding environment that reinforced the value of dedication and determination. Tindall also gave me valuable insights into corporate structure. In addition to my professional roles, I completed my undergraduate degree in Biology at Wofford College.Transitioning into education, I began my career at Gable Middle School as an RBHS specialist. Later, I became a high school biology teacher at Dorman High School, all the while coaching middle school football and wrestling. Eventually I took on a leadership role as an assistant principal. I hold a Master's degree from Converse College and earned my Doctorate from Gardner-Webb University. Now, I'm excited to be a part of the dynamic team at readySC, within the Office of Economic Development for the South Carolina Technical College System, and eager to contribute to South Carolina's growth and development.
