Part of a team that maintains a specialized network that provides customers across the DOD with classified mobile devices. We have a network of ~80 devices that allows users from across the world to have classified material available to them 24/7.

Worked within ACAS to provide vulnerability analysis for all Air Force bases within the US, PACAF, and USAFE. Part of CCRI team that provided more in depth analysis for bases that were scheduled to be inspected. This included being a main POC for CCRI related guidance.

Monitored AFnet devices using Solarwinds and NetCool. Initiated work orders for devices that were experiences issues such as latency, outage, high CPU usage, high memory usage. Also, was responsible for creating accounts within Remedy for Air Force users.

I was part of a 28 member team of Network and system administration technicians. My unit supported over 3000 US Military service members spanning across multiple branches at Barksdale AFB. This included 150 executive leaders within Air Force Global Strike Command, 8th Air Force Headquarters, and 307th Bomb Wing HQ. I performed the installation, configuration, upgrades, repairs, and preventative maintenance of all communication’s hardware. I identified, troubleshot, and resolved hardware issues and document for continuity. I maintained long haul communications equipment between 6 USAF bases in the continental US.Key Contributions:•Completed Assured Services LAN upgrade. Implemented network configurations for redundancy in core buildings. Installed failover power supplies to sustain network connectivity for two hours.•2nd Mission Support Group relocation project. Seamlessly moved over 400 users to new location. Configured and installed six Cisco network devices. Completed project two weeks ahead of schedule.

Provided network support for 9,000 users. Worked on small and large-scale projects and assisted supervisors to provide tech solutions for new network implementations or upgrades. Assisted with preparation for network inspections and assessments. Installed current IOS images on Cisco network equipment. Configured and installed Cisco switches and routers.; Directed network distribution layer upgrade. Eliminated single point of failure and increased redundancy 200%. Increased unit’s ability to deliver air power and supported planning and execution of 6,000 combat missions.•Deployed to Afghanistan. Was part of a six Network Administration Technician team during six-month tour. Completed network remodel project. Earned squadron team of the month award and earned outstanding airman of the month for December 2015.•Civil Engineering Squadron upgrade. Identified classified network limitations and upgraded network devices to allow for a larger range of expansion to accommodate the growing forces within that squadron.
