 Ensure all work is performed and completed according to company guidelines Directly supervise all activities of dockworkers and support personnel engaged in the operation Coordinate work assignments, monitor performance, and provide training Provide guidance to personnel to achieve weekly/monthly/quarterly/ and annual goals Foster customer relations, and oversee distributions Field customer calls on service issues, special requests, rates, and new accounts Ensure proper maintenance of facility, supplies, and equipment therein  Perform security checks when facility is dark or during holiday breaks Perform facility inspections to maintain safety, quality, security, and 3rd party audit compliance Execute proper load plans and load balance to ensure safe transit and maintain logs on seal/load verifications Assist in the loading and unloading of trailers Ensure safe handling of Hazmat in accordance with DOT regulations Manage dispatch for over the road and local drivers Manages Canadian customers preparation of both freight and customs documentation nightly

Responsible for the loading and unloading of freight, in a safe and proper fashion. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to Dock cleanliness Staging of unloaded freight Daily forklift inspections Cleaning interior of trailers of all debris that could possibly harm people or freight Maintaining a secure and flowing facility
