I am a Sustainability Consultant at Atelier Ten. I enjoy working within a creative team, and collaborating with other professionals to solve complex challenges. I have a strong interest in building physics and environmental performance, and both the quantitative and qualitative aspects of the interaction between people and their environment. I appreciate the opportunity to apply these passions to real world projects, and work to deliver buildings that will help create a better world.During my PhD, I have developed techniques for characterising the influence of wind on the aerodynamic performance of ventilation components, and worked on the development of simple infection risk models that allow a building’s resilience to airborne infectious disease transmission be characterised.I graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2018 with a 1st class MEng in Architecture and Environmental Design, where I was awarded the departmental prize for best engineering dissertation and best architecture thesis, and was on the winning design team for both a primary school design-and-build project in South Africa, and a low energy retrofit design project.
