During my 35+ year career in commercial real estate, spanning from analyst to leasing agent to project manager to VP of Development to Regional Partner to Managing Director to Principal, I have developed, acquired, managed, leased and sold urban office, suburban office, multi-family, industrial, medical office, and land development sites. In three of my senior positions I also served as a member of the Investment Committee for the company. Capital sources have included private equity, institutional equity, investment banks and hedge funds as well as all types of bank and institutional financing. Prior to direct employment in the real estate industry, I was a land-use attorney representing major corporations and individual investors/developers in the zoning and entitlement process as well as all aspects of transactional processes (purchase, sale, leasing, financing, joint ventures, etc.)I have invested in projects located primarily in the Mid-Atlantic, Northeast and Southeast as well as some specific assignments in Chicago and the MidWest. I have also served as an outside Director on the Board of an International company for seven years, chairing the Finance Committee, the Compensation Committee and the Succession Committee at separate times. My greatest skill is Team Management; bringing people together to achieve a clearly identified common goal while allowing each Team member to be successful applying her/his individual talent to reach that goal. Transparent, open and consistent communication is my hallmark. People management is the skill that has made me successful in each stage of my career, whether as a Managing Partner in my law firm, Senior Vice President for Real Estate Development, Regional Partner for a Private Equity firm, or consultant for a prominent New York hedge fund. My technical skills include all aspects of real estate investment, development, acquisition, sales and management derived from more than 35+ years of direct experience. Most recently I have enjoyed sharing these skills to successfully resolve "distressed asset" investments for my consulting clients realizing over $300 Million of sales of those assets.
