Responsible for the production and management of thousands of products that are available in the Advanced Targeting Systems (ATS) catalog to research scientists around the world. This responsibility includes conjugating many proteins, peptides, and antibodies to various tags and payloads. I serve as a Product Manager and oversee protocol development, execution, and review for all of the laboratory assays. At ATS, I’ve developed and produced many recombinant proteins in both E. coli and mammalian cells, including the initial theory and design, to the hands on molecular cloning, production, purification, and testing. I’m experienced in contract research services centered around cell-based assays, including but not limited to ELISA, cytotoxicity, receptor binding, flow cytometry, drug screening, conjugation, and interfacing with service customers to complete their project requirements. Through the support of the SBIR program and the National Institutes of Health, ATS successfully advanced one of our targeted toxins, SP-SAP, into human clinical trial for the treatment of cancer pain in patients who are unresponsive to opioids. It was my responsibility in this process to perform quality control assays and oversee the production of test material and completion of periodic stability assays on the drug. In addition to advancing a therapeutic, I was also the lead scientist on a funded SBIR grant to advance the specificity and deliver mechanisms of the CRISPR gene-editing technology. In 2016, I hiked the entire 2650 miles of the Pacific Crest Trail. I'm an avid backpacker and typically spend my free time outdoors with my dog. I also enjoy surfing, camping, biking, tennis, gardening, and spending time with my friends and family.
