Since early 2021, I have been CEO of PROLED Group, based near Munich - Germany and UniBright in Antwerp - Belgium. PROLED Group is an international leader in LED lighting, with manufacturing facilities in Germany. Through its 3 brands PROLED, UniBright and mawa, the Group is highly customer-centric and focused on superior quality both for products and service. Before that, I was for 10 years CEO of Teconex, a company specializing in the development, manufacture and distribution of low tension electrical devices and solutions for connecting people and buildings to the power supply network. In 2012, the company successfully diversified into LED lighting as part of an ambitious growth plan. My enjoyment in inspiring others is not new. Ever since I can remember I have aimed to lead Teams and make a true difference with anything I would undertake. Both as a student and in my private life, I have always been busy leading projects, including chairing an Investment Fund during my years in college or founding an annual wine-tasting fair as part of my social fund-raising activities. Undertaking, achieving challenging results and taking calculated risks are some of my major driving forces. For 20 years, prior to my more recent missions as a CEO, I crafted a broad base of experience both in sales and marketing positions with large BtoB and BtoBtoC businesses on a global scale. I find that dealing with different cultures and interacting with people from all around the world is extremely rewarding and educational.At NMC, as Business Unit Manager for Architecture & Design, the company’s largest activity, I was instrumental in increasing the overall value of the company.I am also pleased to have started my career with Solvay, which early on gave me the opportunity to demonstrate my leadership talents in exciting sales positions on global export markets. I then joined Advanced Elastomer Systems, formerly a Monsanto / ExxonMobil joint venture, which later became a 100% ExxonMobil Chemical Company affiliate. In my various marketing assignments, I acquired additional skills in terms of strategic thinking, project management and corporate governance. As a big fan of the US, I enjoyed working with such a reputable American company and traveling to the Headquarters on a frequent basis.
