Company President. Responsible for oversight of all company functions including Finance & Accounting, Human Resources, IT, as well as daily operations. Serves as Department Manager for company’s Design component which focuses on a wide range of engineering services from conceptual design development through success monitoring. Responsibilities include technical content and quality control for design products (final design, construction drawings and specifications, etc.). Provides project specific management of engineering investigation, analyses, and design on dams, storm water systems, open channels, hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, flood studies, sediment and erosion control plans, wetland and stream restoration including mitigation, and ecological violations. Served as project manager for a range of company projects from conceptual design development through construction. Responsibilities included preparation of project; scope, conceptual and final design, construction drawings and specifications, materials quantity estimates, and opinions of probable cost. Additionally is responsible for field data collection and construction observation. Works projects including investigation, analyses, or design on wetland mitigation sites, natural stream restorations, dams, storm water systems, open channels, land development, flood studies, and sediment and erosion control plans. Served as company Resident Engineer and served on company Board of Directors.

Served as Production Manager for the North Carolina Floodplain Mapping Project. Supervised the automated delineation of over 1,700 miles of floodplains to include detailed, approximate, and redelineation studies, utilizing elevation data obtained by airborne LIDAR detection. Utilized the Watershed Modeling System (WMS) for hydrologic analysis, HEC-GeoRAS as an interface for hydraulic analysis performed using HEC-RAS to and from an ArcView GIS environment.

Served as Project Manager for a wide range of company projects from conceptual design development through construction, simultaneously managing multiple projects. Worked on numerous projects including investigation, analyses, or design on wetland mitigation sites, natural stream restorations, dams, storm water systems, open channels, land development, flood studies, mine permitting, and sediment and erosion control plans. Assistant Professor of Military Science - U.S. Army, Clarkson University, Potsdam, NY - 1994 through 1997 - Served as Executive Officer, Training Officer and Recruiting Officer of an Army ROTC Training Battalion. Directed the management, administration, logistics, recruitment, and training for the Military Science Department of a major engineering and technical university. Served as member of the University Faculty Senate and Marketing Committee. While on the university faculty, completed advanced degree in environmental engineering with an emphasis in hydrology. Asst. Division Engineer/Company Commander - U.S. Army, Fort Campbell, KY - 1990 through 1994 - Supervised engineer operations in support of the 17,000 personnel of the Army’s elite 101st Airborne Division. Served as subject matter expert in the division in area of combat engineering. Served as Company Commander of a 96 person engineer unit. Responsible for the planning and directing of all operations required for the accomplishment of the company’s unique mission of providing engineer support to a 4000 person unit in a variety of world-wide contingency missions. Construction/Combat Engineer - U.S. Army, Baumholder, Federal Republic of Germany - 1987 through 1990 - Supervised planning, design, resourcing, and construction of numerous vertical and horizontal construction projects to include steel frame buildings, oil/water separators, blast revetments, timber building construction, recreational facilities, airfield construction/repair and concrete construction.
