As the strategist heading the PTS Workspace Technology team, I am responsible for leading our consultants in offering focused, people centric, multi-disciplinary technology services to our clients, on a global basis.The team strives to deliver the best advisory services around the implementation of technology into client workflows, whatever the market sector they may come from, or geographic region. We ensure that the technology is layered into client's working days so supporting the client’s business and enhancing the way people work.We have an enviable reputation for strong delivery in design and implementation services, but PTS are also delivering the softer services that are less about hardware and more about People, Technology and Space.We talk about ‘making the complex simple’ and by zooming out from a client challenge to see the wider picture including risks and softer elements, enables us to take a more holistic perspective. In joining PTS at a transformational time in the technology market and as a member of the PTS's Visioning and Strategy team, I am also working with PTS’s Technology and Workplace teams to deliver a broader, more strategic offering to both new and existing clients. Although a large part of the industry is still dealing with the convergence of IT and Audio Visual Technologies, I believe that this point has passed. With the expansion of PTS's complete end-to-end technology consulting services, I will develop the more end-user centric element of the business proposition. This element will provide a solid foundation to work with our clients and partners to deliver working and entertainment spaces that provide a better experience to the people who use it. I am excited to be leading a team that will be at the forefront of thinking about the future of how people interact with their environment is an exciting and challenging task. Over the next few months, I am looking forward to working with my new colleagues to framework this new element of the PTS Toolkit and to develop a market leading, strategic thinking, and creative team backed up by PTS's solid reputation for delivering complex projects well.At the core of this new offering, we will redefine what the Intelligent Building means to the user, focusing on the people who cohabit in a space and how the building responds to their needs. Visual Acuity is a technology consultancy based in Brighton who has delivered ground breaking technology innovation solutions across the world for the last 12 years. In 2016 I was appointed as Managing Director with the brief of creating its future as it only had 2 ongoing projects, the largest of which was running late and where the technology systems were 30% over budget.My vision was to consolidate the business and build a UK centric client base complemented by selected international projects that could be delivered profitably.To execute the plan I had to:1. Understand the motivation and state of mind of the staff whose morale was at low ebb. In short were they "in or out",2. Bring the largest project back to budget and in line with the client expectations. proactively make sure they were getting value from the fees they were charged.3. Formulate a simple and feasible plan that was achievable with the team in place.4. Manage the expectations of the parent company. During 2016 I successfully won business with 3 major clients (all well-known global brands) that created a valuable revenue stream together with significant improvement to the company’s UK reputation.

Using my extensive experience of working within organisations from a variety of verticals, to develop innovative and cutting-edge workspaces, I can bring this wealth of knowledge to Crestron’s Enterprise clients.My human-centric approach allows us to understand the true drivers for creating better working environments. Currently contracting as a Program Manager on a major building refurbishment project in The City of London for one of the worlds largest banks. Also completed the final parts of a very large Audio Visual role out in Canary Wharf.Previously contracted to one of "The Big Four" accountancy firms in The City of London for 2.5 years.During this period completed three major projects for the firm.Technology Design and Delivery of London 2012 Hospitality Pavilion- Critically acclaimed to be one of the best conceived and built hospitality spaces for the London 2012 Games sponsors. - Opened 7 months before the games started the space was used for seminars, corporate entertaining and London 2012 based events.- Built re-deployable technology systems to support the multifunctional nature of the space.Technology Design and Delivery Turnkey Innovation Workspace- I was responsible for the design development and project management of all aspects of the technology in a high profile state of the art Innovation Centre to be completed in October 2010. - Working with a external consulting team and internal user groups to translate the business requirements into a working solution that delivers for workflow requirements now and in the future.- Considered and delivered the correct support model for the space including assisting in recruiting the team who have made the space a great success.- Within the first operational year the space delivered a directly attributable 4 fold return on investmentAV Magazine AV Award - "Business Installation of the Year 2011"Audio Visual Design and Delivery of London Campus Client Suites- Completed a refresh of the client meeting spaces within 4 buildings of the London campus- Introduced various new technologies to the business to improve productivity

Working as part of a highly engineering based team, I was the commercial lead who's developed the relationships with the clients. Key Successes and clients were:- Leading the team to successfully winning and delivering the technology systems for the David Attenborough Studio at the Natural History Museum London. This was one of the first commercial deployments of an Augmented Reality solution in the UK.- Wining the AV integration contract for the public spaces in the Savoy Hotel refit in London.

As the senior AV Project Consultant for the firm. This role developed client relationships much earlier than our industry counterparts as we were engaged at the strategic level to look at the high level holistic view on client challenges.Designed and delivered major projects on behalf of:- Rio Tinto Headquarters (Paddington and Aldermanbury), London- Eversheds (Wood Street), London- Deloitte , London

As an entrepreneur grew the business from a small freelance project management firm to successfully delivering a major consultancy piece for a European headquarters building in London. My major successes where:- Project Manager for HM Treasury, London - Project Consultant for the Chief Commissionaires Office, New Scotland Yard - Project Consultant - Heathrow T5 (First Class Areas), London- Delivered AV Strategy and solutions for Royal Institute of British Architects London (5 years)- Project Director - IPC Media Headquarters London.

Whilst working for Georgeson as an AV design consultant, I worked with the whole team within Georgeson to develop and sell a complete turn key office solution. Whilst with the firm I gain a strong understanding of:- The consultative approach to workspace design- The importance of understanding the key personalities within a workspace.- How technology was starting to change the way that office design was changing.- The capabilities of furniture manufacturers.

Initially starting with the company as a project manager, I not only project managed the major projects for the business but also restructured the Operations Department to bring structure and increased profitability to the business. My major achievements with the business included:- Delivery of BP's Workplace of the Future project, Sunbury.- Creating HR structure and processes to increase staff retention- Brought the firms Health and Safety practices and systems into compliance.

As an Officer in the Scots Guards our role was to manage and support the soldiers under my command. This went from ensuring my soldiers where correctly trained, to looking after their wefare and ensuring their career's were being managed. My duties included:- Rifle Company Commander (responsible on Operations for 96 men)- Company 2nd in Commander - Administrative support to Company Commander- Training Platoon Commander - Infantry Training Catterick - Responsible for recruit development.- Infantry Platoon Commander - (responsible for 30 men on operations and on Royal Duties in London)- Scots Guards Skiing Team

The British Army's Officer Training Academy. This is an intensive one year course teaching potential army officer how to lead.My entry to Sandhurst was via Rowallan Company a 10 week induction course. Only those who have completed it really understand how hard it is. This course taught me to appreciate how far you can be pushed if you really want something badly.

Started as hire equipment repair engineer, taking a school boy hobby to a working reality. During my years with the company worked on fully installed theatre solutions all over the UK.Also worked as part of the team who created and supported theatre / performance spaces for the International Edinburgh Festival and Fringe Festival (3 years running), the International Children's Festival.

I worked as part of an expatriate team helping run two local demining teams in Northern Afghanistan. During my time with the team I conducted the following duties:- Logistics support to the demining teams - Local ordnance disposal- Overwatch of local demining team. - Cleared two areas that had not been used for agricultural purposes for many years allowing the local population to grow crops again.

A ten week course that compressed a soldiers basic training into a short period of time. It was a pre-officer training course that allowed the Regiments to have a strong understanding of your capabilities and for you to work out if the Army is for you.
