Patrick Stoop holds 2 master’s degrees, in law and in economics. During his 40 years of professional career, Patrick acquired a broad and rich experience; in the public sector, both in ministries at the central level and in regional and local governments or decentralized institutions and SOEs, in the social profit / NGO sector and in the private sector. He held advisory positions, but also functioned as a line manager.Patrick worked as consultant, trainer, coach and interim manager for over 300 organisations, mostly in the public and not for profit sector; in Belgium and through international organizations, bilateral development cooperation and (impact) enterprises in approximately 35 countries across Europe, Africa, Asia, Latin America / the Caribbean and the Middle East. He has extensive experience in a broad range of governance areas including corporate social responsibility. Patrick works across many sectors including agriculture, health, education, justice, economics, entrepreneurship, social services, etc. He also published many articles.His experience is mostly situated on the crossroads between: vision, strategy, policy & budget cycle, program/project design, planning & control, monitoring, evaluation, management, governance, internal control systems, risk management, organizational and institutional development, change processes, human resources management, financial management, system analysis, business models, business process optimisation, organisational assessments, operational audits, etc.The past 7 years, Patrick has been increasingly active (as advisor, evaluator, coach and entrepreneur) in the field of social and impact-driven entrepreneurship. He is an active member of Social Value International and the lead person for Social Value Belgium.
