I provide program management oversight through acquisition accountability, visibility, and affordability as an integral part of the Army Sustainment Command’s contract management strategy, which is to execute ASC missions to standard and within budget. I am responsible for the requirements development process, analysis of the acquisition progression with contract support activity (ACC-RI), eight (8) Logistic Readiness Centers, and FORSCOM requiring activities in the 407th region. These activities include power projection platforms found in Forts Hood, Sill, Riley, Carson, and LRCs located in Soto-Colon, Leavenworth, and Miami. In order to determine solutions to logistic obstacles and prevent potential program slippage or readiness impacts, I provide the program coordination and verification necessary to ensure that logistic support services are available, on budget, and on time. I am responsible for the development of the criteria used to evaluate logistic contractor operations in the program areas of Supply, Maintenance and Transportation. I do this through the assembly and use of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Performance Management Reviews (PMRs), Analytical Metrics, Performance Work Statements (PWS), Technical Exhibits (TEs), Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs), Quality Assurance Surveillance plans (QASPs), and contract modifications. I provide comprehensive analysis and recommendations to the EAGLE Branch Chief, the Deputy Director of AIM, and the Director of AIM on the health of the contracts, address any problematic areas, and monitor operation resources. These recommendations and analyses are used to implement management controls and determine metrics necessary to enhance contract oversight, identify trends, drive timely acquisition decisions, and assess affordability.
