Take a lead in strategy planning, development and implementation of communications and advocacy campaigns.Works with various partners/stakeholders and membership of UNAPD to implement the campaigns to ensure dissemination of the positive message to the targeted audience.Develop strategic partnerships with key stakeholders or partners to elicit support for and maximize impact of the promotional objectives of the various projects.Take a lead in organizing media outreach/conferences, press briefings, interviews in order to improve the visibility of UNAPD among the stakeholders, membership and partners.Write articles in form of press releases, feature stories on any disability related issues to be published in the Print Media.Coordinates production of a diverse range of information products like Newsletters, Documentaries, Audio recordings, and IEC materials.Evaluates results and impact of advocacy and communications, trends and attitudes of stakeholders, membership towards the targeted objectives of the advocacy strategy.Support the process to form networks with various stakeholders such as development partners, NGOs, private sector, research organizations and academic institutions to mobilize their support for sustainable development initiatives.Manage and maintain an updated database for UNAPD in order to facilitate the production of any required information for use.Actively participate and represent the organization in various networks and movements to share UNAPD position on various issues.Manage and Update the UNAPD website and other social media platforms, and the Resource center.Actively engage in fundraising and resource mobilization activities of the organization
