I am a qualified Fitter/Turner with experience across most aspects of the trade. I have spent most of my career in industrial maintenance, being heavily involved in maintenance shutdowns and breakdown repairs. Across all my previous positions I have been utilised as a machinist, hydraulic/pneumatic repairer and fabricator. Recently I have been involved in marine repairs for Tug boats and many Fishing Vessels and have acquired an interest in learning more about Marine Engineering. I am currently employed as a Trainee Marine Engineer at Talleys with one 8 week trip under my belt and awaiting my second trip. In my trips off I continue to work for a land based Engineering company. I have a strong passion for learning and a love for the engineering trade. I believe I have a wide variety of skills and knowledge to bring to this role along with a good work ethic and hunger for self improvement. Safety is always at the forefront of everything that I do, both for me and the people around me. I believe there is always a way to do things safely while also keeping time in mind. I enjoy working in a team but I am also motivated enough to work just as hard on solo tasks.
