As a long time member of the Volunteer Fire Service, I have held many positions in my 34 years of service. I have the honor and privilege of learning and training many men and women in the fire service. I was member of two different fire companies, the first 13 years I belonged to the Snyder Fire Company where I was Lieutenant for many years we averaged 1200 calls per year. We dealt with numerous EMS, Fire, Auto and Hazmat calls. The last 20 years I have belonged to the Kenilworth Fire Company where I have mainly held offices in the Executive side of the fire department. The most honorable was surely in two different times in 1999, I received the President and Chiefs award from the Snyder Fire Department for outstanding service and dedication in the Fire Service. Also, in the year 2014 I received the Kenilworth Exempts Association Recognition Award for my outstanding dedication. It is a honor win that type of award in one organization but to win those awards in two different fire companies is definitely a honor.
