One of the reasons I fell into IT was the thrill of learning something new and applying it with a successful outcome. I try to learn something new or improve myself in some way every day. Either by automating a process I use regularly or finding time saving shortcuts. I am very much a self managed individual capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously. I often find that I thrive under heavy workloads but I'm also capable of finding work and ways to improve processes and procedures when there aren't as many projects in the works.Communication and knowledge transfers are a crucial part of IT. If there is a problem, or a solution, it is critical that you share it with your team. I work from home 100% of the time so it can sometimes be difficult to disconnect for the day. Luckily, I am a father of two amazing kids who aren't afraid to remind me it's time to play.
