I am an international arbitrator with a thirty-year experience as president of arbitral tribunals, sole arbitrator and co-arbitrator, I act mainly in environment, energy, construction and infrastructure matters.While I have been practicing independently since April 2018, I was for 35 years a partner of Paris Law firm Thieffry & Associés, of which I once managed the New York office. I have thus acquired a wide experience of negotiating international transactions as well as of managing major construction disputes in litigation and in arbitration. I have been teaching Environment Law at the Sorbonne School of Law since 1995 and I authored a Treatise and a handbook on European Environment Law (both in English and in French). I hold post-graduate degrees in International Private Law and International Business Law and in European and International Economics and presented a Ph. D. thesis on the New Instruments of European Environmental Law.
