Project managed the move of TVB Hong Kong to a new purpose built site. This involved close liaison with TVB hierarchy and chairing weekly progress meetings.Supervision of five design engineers, four assistant design engineers, three support engineers, and sixteen wiremen. Project management of play-out centre installation in Los Angeles for TVB Hong Kong. Involved liaison with client, architect, construction and installation engineers and co-ordination of build cycle. Supervised acceptance and commissioning. Liaised with Mind -Port DTH engineers for system integration.

Project management of Playout centre for Zee TV’s service in Singapore. Involved liaison with client, architect, building services, installation engineers and furniture manufacturers to create playout centre. TVBS Taiwan. Co-chaired and co-ordinated the team, which developed TVBS’s NVOD, PPV and IPPV channels, for broadcast in Taiwan and the rest of Asia. This involved liaison with Philips for the statmux transmission, France telecom for the encryption, ADB Taiwan for the Set Top Boxes, Wiztec Israel for the SMS Business Management, BSS Poland for the EPG software, Focus UK for the media management and TVB I.T. personnel in HK. April-August 1998 Project Management of the installation of a thirty channel playout centre for TVBS Taiwan. Included NVOD, PPV and IPPV channels and hot switching of commercials from HK Jan-April 1997Project Management of the installation of a multi channel, fully automated playout facility for Metro Golden Mayer in Hong Kong. Involved liaison and consultations with client’s architect, building services manager, M+E subcontractors. Also giving advice on the electrical installation, air-conditioning and overall facilities concept. Involved supervision of electronic installation. Establishment of acceptance quality criteria and supervision of adherence. Handover on target date.

Reporting to the owner directly, I was responsible for the smooth running of two large drama studios and an EFP vehicle. The studio generated 90% of the drama output of the Middle East. I ran both technical and operational areas, and the building and air-conditioning maintenance departments. I built a three camera EFP vehicle in house, using local personnel. I refurbished and rewired one of the studios. I directed four TV commercials for Kodak, Gulf Air and other local sponsors. I devised and designed a quiz programme including lighting and sets Operationally I covered major international cricket matches, darts, and ice shows as well as the day to day running of the drama studios.
